Summer 05, Part 3
I've been everywhere this summer, from England/Scotland to Texas., and now it's time to do something that feels "normal." Working at camp is going to feel so normal, and after the summer I've had, I really need that. Coming home never felt so good. I loved coming home from England, but it was more the culture I longed to come home to, not really my house or "Michigan." But I've done that now. It's not the culture I've missed, but my life here. My house. My car. Camp. Going out with friends. Texas was wonderful, but I need a little bit of the life I'm used to for awhile. This is also sort of goodbye. See, I won't be able to get online hardly ever after this, until camp is over and I'm getting ready to go back to school. So, I leave you with the following song lyric to lighten things up:
"Ohio (Come Back to Texas)" by Bowling for Soup
Come back to Texas/It's just not the same/Since you went away./Before you lose your accent/And forget all about/The Lonestar state./There's a seat for you at the rodeo/And I've got every slow dance saved./Besides the Mexican food sucks/North of here anyway.
Cheers.
(PS. I came home to the lovely surprise that I think my computer died. Blast.)
